Princess Charlotte’s Official Christening Photos Are Released – And Prince George Steals The Show Again

Mario Testino’s done a grand job at capturing the royal family in a mix of both posed and au naturel snapshots

It’s only been four days since Princess Charlotte’s christening, yet we’ve missed seeing new snapshots of the royal family.

So we were thrilled when this new collection of pics from the royal family’s big day out in Norfolk landed on our desks just now.

Kensington Palace took to Twitter to share a number of polished photos from the youngest royal’s christening and we can’t stop looking at them.

Mario Testino is the genius behind them all, and we reckon he’s done a grand job at capturing the happy occasion as the family larked around at Sandringham Palace after the church service took place.

The British/Peruvian photographer, who's previously worked with the likes of Kate Moss for Vogue, snapped the royals in a mix of both posed and natural images showing just how picture perfect they all are.

The ‘official’ photograph includes the Queen, Prince Philip, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and both of their children, Prince Charles and Camilla and all of the Middleton clan. Only George and Charlotte are unsmiling in the lovely family picture – George, at just under two years old, looks a tad overwhelmed by the formal set up and Charlotte, well, she’s only a couple of months old and probably needed her mamma to tickle her.

Charlotte's other uncle, Prince Harry, is missing from the photo as is currently on royal business in Africa - and so missed the christening.

Another snapshot shows Kate lovingly gazing down at Charlotte in her arms, giving us our first proper close up of the princess and her big brown eyes. And there’s a gorgeous shot of Kate, Wills and both their children which is made all the better by the fact that George is absent-mindedly tugging on his blonde locks.

But our favourite has to be a black and white pic of Wills and George playing in the garden at Sandringham Palace. Prince William is grinning at his son in pride while George appears to be laughing at the lens. Perhaps Mario cracked a good joke?

We’ll keep a beady eye out to see if Ken Pal releases any more pics, but we’re pretty chuffed with these four – and we reckon you will be too.
