Duchess of Cambridge In Yet Another Photoshop Fail

Australian Woman's Day edits Kate Middleton to within an inch of her life

Kate Middleton has found herself the victim of some very dodgy photo editing yet again, this time on the front cover of Australia’s Woman’s Day.

The Duchess of Cambridge graces the latest cover of the weekly magazine looking down right weird thanks to some heavy handed Photoshopping.

Pregnant Kate looks much older than her 33 years in the altered image, which has done the rounds on social media with many commenting that the magazine had gone too far.

By the looks of it, Woman’s Day have:
-    lightened Kate’s skin
-    given her what looks like a new set of eyes
-    added blusher and pink lipstick
-    added some sparkle to her earring

The original picture was taken just last week when the Duchess formally opened the Kensington Leisure Centre in London.

Woman’s Day has since replaced the cover on their Facebook page with something slightly less unrecogniseable.

This isn’t the first time Kate has been the subject of some over-the-top Photoshopping.

In 2012, South African Marie Claire wanted the Duchess as their August cover star.

Instead of using one of the quite literally thousands of already existing pictures of Kate they decided to superimpose her head on to a model’s body, making it look like Kate had posed for them exclusively.

Here in the UK, Grazia came under fire in 2011 when they drastically altered the Duchess’ waist for their Royal Wedding special front cover.

Seen in her now iconic Alexander McQueen wedding dress, Kate’s impossibly slim waist raised alarm bells when the magazine hit the newsstand.

Grazia came forward and admitted they did indeed alter the image but only to cut Prince William out of it.

“So we asked our reproduction house to remove him from the picture (common practice among glossy magazines),” Grazia told the Press Complaints Commission.

“This would have left the duchess with only one arm, so they copied over her arm to complete the picture.

“[Grazia] would like to reassure all our readers that we did not purposely make any alterations to the Duchess of Cambridge's image to make her appear slimmer, and we are sorry if this process gave that impression.”

Kate isn’t the only Royal to be transformed by the magic of Photoshop, with Prince George having his pictures touched up by a number of publications.

The one-year-old first had his picture digitally enhanced on the cover of Us Weekly after the Royal tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2014.

George was given rosy cheeks and a warmer skin tone on the cover image, taken when he was just nine-months-old.

To commemorate his first birthday in July 2014, People magazine released this cover featuring the little Prince wearing what looked like pink lipstick.
