‘Feast On A Beast’ Christmas Burger Is Our New Favourite Festive Dish

The calorific Christmas dinner in a bun is being served up in Southport's The Brass Pig

We’re just going to come right out and say it – there are only so many traditional roast dinners you can eat in December.

In the run up to Christmas, the average Brit eats 5.6 roast turkey dinners* with all the trimmings and after a while you do get a bit bored of them.

*No, not really – but it feels like it doesn’t it?

Up at The Brass Pig in Southport, owners Eddy and Kate Weights have invented a new way for you to enjoy all your favourite festive flavours without sitting through yet another roast.

Step forward: The Feast on a Beast, the ultimate Christmas burger.

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate how utterly beautiful this carnivorous creation is.

The epic sandwich, which retails for £12, is made up of:
14oz beef patty
10oz smoked turkey
homemade stuffing
cranberry sauce
gravy
two pigs in blankets
brioche bun
…and a side of chips, of course.

Married couple Eddy and Kate opened the restaurant back in September and have already made a name for themselves with their epic food creations – including the roast dinner burger that includes mashed potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding.

"The Feast on a Beast was something we came up with when planning ahead for Christmas,” said Eddy.

"It's completely home-made and features all of the typical Christmas dinner foods including turkey, pigs in blankets along with an enormous juicy beef burger.

"Burgers are probably the most popular dish here so we decided to get festive and it's proving to be a real hit.”

As well as the festive burger, The Brass Pig will also be serving the Christmas inspired Pig in a Blanket – a 7-inch deep fried hot dog, wrapped in bacon with stuffing mayo, cranberry sauce and gravy. With chips.

If you don’t live anywhere near The Brass Pig and crave some hybrid Christmas tucker, fear not – Papa John’s have announced their Festive Feast pizza is back on the menu!

Turkey, sage and onion meatballs, pork sausage, bacon and a cranberry drizzle make for a Chrimbo special that we kinda wish was on the menu all year round.
