'Jennifer Lawrence’s X-Men body paint: Standing there naked would not have been fun' - EXCLUSIVE

X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer shared snap of her character Mystique on Twitter – but her make-up artist Kay Montano said the actress wouldn't have enjoyed it

Jennifer Lawrence reprised her role as Mystique in the new X-Men film this week after director Bryan Singer shared a snap of her naked in full body paint on Twitter.

But while fans of X-Men: Days of Future Past couldn't contain their excitement about the sequel to the hit film, Jennifer's make-up artist has revealed to us exclusively that it would not have been fun for her at all.

Kay Montano, who worked with the US actress at Cannes this weekend, told us that Jennifer would have to get up at 4am and stand there naked for hours while she had it applied.

“You spend so much time in there that I don’t think it’s fun anymore,” she told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

“I don’t think people understand how not fun that is, to have that kind of body paint on. Do you want to get up at four in the morning and stand there naked? No you don’t.”

The Brit make-up artist, who’s worked with the 22-year-old since last year, revealed that Jennifer would have to stand still for up to four hours while she had the intricate paint applied.

“It’s really not fun. It’s not fun at all!” she said.

Kay added that she doesn’t see the point in spending hours in full body paint when it could have been created using special effects instead.

“Just use CGI anyway, it’s just perfectionists. It’s not fun for anybody. It’s fun for people watching it and that’s the whole point,” she told us.

The snap of Jennifer in full body paint was shared by Bryan Singer, the director of the new X-Men film, Days of Future Past.

It came just days after The Hunger Games star wowed on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in a monochrome Dior frock and stunning beauty look.
