It's the most highly-anticipated photoshoot of the year.

So the first look at Kate Moss' sizzling Playboy debut - which coincides with her celebrating her 40th birthday no less - should come as a sight for sore eyes.

A sneak preview of the legendary British supermodel's turn for the infamous zine has been released and it seems all the promises of Kate donning Playboy's trademark bunny get-up are true.

Posing sexily on all fours, Kate shows off her curves in a pair of bunny ears, collar and cuffs and a black satin corset - with a fluffy bunny tail firmly in place.

Turning her head so that her blonde locks fall in tousled waves over one shoulder, Kate pulls a sultry gaze for the camera.

Captured by acclaimed photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the model gives readers a glimpse of what to expect when her full cover and shoot are revealed for the magazine's 60th anniversary January/February edition - which hits newsstands next month.

The preview shot will run in Playboy's "Next Month" page of the December issue - which we're guessing is just to dangle the carrot until the big reveal in the following issue.

Rumours of Kate Moss' first Playboy shoot had reached fever-pitch back in June, after her hairdresser allegedly let the cat out of the bag.

Despite the model initially wanting to keep the shoot top-secret, Playboy's editorial director, Jimmy Jellinek, confirmed her appearance in September.

Speaking about plans for the anniversary edition, he said: "This is a massive global brand.

"You need a global icon in order to celebrate that - that was the impetus.

"You're talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. She's the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years."
