Yo-yo diet

This type of dieting describes someone who follows a strict diet, also known as crash dieting, in order to lose weight, but then fails and falls back into bad habits of eating unhealthily. This is then followed by returning to a strict diet once again. This is a continuous cycle which has health implications such as affecting blood sugar levels, which can lead to diabetes. It can also cause nutritional deficiencies and affect a person’s metabolism. The ideal solution is to find a middle ground of balanced eating so the individual can maintain a healthy weight.
