Why ‘Love Your Pet Day’ Is The Best Day Of The Year

Whatever shape, size or styles our pets come in, we love them. And while most of us definitely don’t need a day to remind us to shower our pets with the L-word, it’s nice to have an excuse to do so.

That’s why we’re wholeheartedly embracing the unofficial stateside holiday of ‘Love Your Pet Day’ that falls today, 20 February.

While we’re not sure everyone will be swapping their big Friday night plans for a bottle of Pinot and just their pet pooch for company, there’s no reason why you can’t celebrate some of the world’s funniest, cleverest and just darn cutest pets with us.

Let's start with these adorable duo. Golden Retriever Toby, two, was captured teaching 12-week-old pup Lexi how to swim in this video and it definitely melted most of our hearts.

Note to self: Don’t leave any pizza lying around unattended where the cat can get it.
