These Parenting Fails Are Taking The Internet By Storm – And Making Our Day

Being a parent can be seriously tough – and nobody’s perfect at it. It’s definitely a learn-on-the-job type affair.

So it’s reassuring to see that other mums and dads make mistakes, too – and decide to share them with the world via their social media accounts.

Using the hashtags #dadfail and #mumfail, parents of both sexes are putting a light spin on their parenting mishaps, and commiserating with others over their fails.

And the results are pretty hilarious. From dinner fails to clueless parenting at it’s finest, tweets and Instagram pics using the hashtags are going viral pretty much as soon as they’re uploaded.

One dad laughed off his verbal slip on Twitter. “I just told my son he looked like a pimp,” dad @DannyBaraz tweeted. “Then I had to explain what a pimp is. Now I have to explain how it’s a compliment. #dadfail."

Others shared their cuisine fails. “Planning the third chicken nugget lunch in a row,” tweeted @JasonZerbey.

“Dad in charge tonight!” @Sharp1ie tweeted. “Put the kids to bed at 7.45 great! Then Oliver shouted at 8 wondering why had no tea #dadfail #cerealtea”

And there have been plenty of parents who've experienced a child-sized wardrobe mess up...
