The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Are Set To Make Their First Appearance With BOTH Their Children – At Princess Charlotte’s Christening

Prepare yourself for your first glimpse of all four Cambridges together…

We’ve seen those ADORABLE snapshots of George and Charlotte together (and countless pics of Kate and Wills with their firstborn) but we’re yet to see photos of all four Cambridges together. Until now.

Prince William and Kate will attend the christening of their daughter Charlotte with George in tow, marking the first time that the family of four has attended a royal engagement together.

The christening, set to take place in St Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham, this Sunday, is also expected to be attended by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh as well as both sets of Charlotte’s grandparents and her aunt Pippa and uncle James.

However, Charlotte’s other uncle, Prince Harry, won’t be attending as he’s currently in Africa working as a wildlife ranger. Harry also skipped his niece’s birth in May as he was in Australia – too many royal duties and too little time, eh Hazza?

It still hasn’t been revealed who will be Charlotte’s godparents – the current favourites include Kate’s schoolfriend Alicia Fox-Pitt, William’s cousin Peter Phillips and Pippa Middleton.

Kate and Wills went against tradition with George and chose seven of their best friends to look out for their son – rather than foreign royals and aristocrats.

The highly privileged list included university pals William van Cutsem, Emilia Jardine-Paterson and Oliver Baker, their long-standing private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Prince Charles’ friend Earl Grosvenor and Princess Diana’s pal Julia Samuel.

In fact the only royal family member to be named one of George’s godparents was Zara Tindall – who isn’t technically even a princess.

Those who live nearby may be able to get a glimpse of the young princess and her family as the paddock next to the church will be open for well-wishers to watch and wave.

Kensington Palace revealed the news and said in a statement that they’re “hugely grateful” for the warm wishes they’ve received since Charlotte’s birth.

“While the service inside the church will be private, the Duke and Duckess of Cambridge will be pleased to welcome well-wishers into the paddock outside the church,” the spokesperson said.

The christening will be conducted by the Archbishop of Caterbury, the Most Rev Justin Welby, who also led George’s christening. It’s thought that Charlotte will wear the same traditional gown that George wore on his big day – as is the tradition for royal family members.
