Saturated fat

Saturated fat is found in animal products such as meat and dairy. Eating a lot of saturated fat can increase the cholesterol in your blood, which can increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. Most people in the UK eat 20 per cent more than the recommended maximum of saturated fat each day. A healthy intake of saturated fat is no more than 30g for a man and no more than 20g for a woman.
