Sarah Harding on plastic surgery: Weight gain and a new beauty secret mean I don’t need botox - EXCLUSIVE

Former Girls Aloud admits lip fillers were a ‘mistake’ but denied she’s using botox as an anti-aging tool

She’s looking better than ever after finding happiness with boyfriend Mark Foster and settling down in the countryside.

But former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding has denied reports she’s had botox to make her look younger – and insists it’s just because she’s put on weight.

“No botox… See that’s where the fringe comes in - you can hide the wrinkles!” she joked.

“If I’m looking younger, it’s probably because I’ve put a bit of weight on.”

She did however admit that the lip fillers she had in 2010 were a ‘mistake’ that she made from being curious in her 20s.

“We all learnt by that mistake… I was just curious. Thank God it wasn’t permanent!” she told Yahoo Lifestyle.

The 32-year-old blonde beauty also reckoned that she was too skinny when she was at the height of her fame with the band that were formed on Popstars: The Rivals back in 2002.

“If you’re too skinny, it can make you look a lot older. I’ve looked at pictures in the past where I was really too skinny but then I was dancing all the time,” she told us.

“I’m not an avid dancer, it’s not my forte. It wasn’t my favourite part of being in the band. I like to keep trim but I don’t like to be too skinny, it shows on someone’s face. It’s not a good look, it’s ageing.”

It's been a year since the Girls Aloud Ten Tour, but Sarah still stays in shape by hitting the gym three times a week and having a 'moderately healthy' diet.

"I try and exercise three times a week, I go on my cross trainer or go to the gym. That’s more or less it and I have my juice in the morning," she said.

"What I tend to do is go to the gym where I can use more things on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and then I’ll use my own one in the garage on a Tuesday and Thursday, because the weather’s so bad I don’t want to go out to a damp garage!"

The Berkshire-born star told us she eats healthily most of the time - but she's not adverse to the odd fry-up either.

"I eat pretty healthily, I have a take out once a week or something. I moderately eat carbs. I tend to juice quite a lot as well. I don’t juice instead of a meal but what I tend to do is make a juice and blend it with an avocado before I have breakfast, before I have a workout," she said.

"I’ve done the whole juicing thing at Jason Vale’s, once every six months, where you have four juices a day. It’s a proper detox, it’s hard work, you end up doing 5k walks. It’s very difficult for the past few days but by the end you just feel amazing, it is worth it.
