Royal Baby Watch: Pregnant Kate Middleton Expecting A ‘Whopper’? #GreatKateWait

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge is yet to go into labour as her rumoured due date passes – but some optimistic well-wishers fell for a hoax that she’d already delivered a baby Charlotte…

Punters have betted on literally everything Royal Baby so far (the due date, the sex, the baby’s hair colour, to name a few).

So with pregnant Kate Middleton’s due date passing, it makes sense to start betting on the weight of the baby, right?

And it looks like fans reckon he or she is going to be a whopper!

Bookies William Hill have revealed that bets on the second royal baby weighing between 8 and 9lbs (way over the average of 7.5lbs) have been cut from 9/4 to 6/2.

“Punters are latching on to the fact that the baby is increasingly late and believe that as a result Kate will deliver a whopper!” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

Catherine’s due date has yet to be confirmed but it was rumoured to be April 25 – and parking restrictions, which were meant to last until the end of this month, have been extended to May 5.

No doubt fans camped outside the Lindo Wing will be getting impatient as they have yet to catch a glimpse of Kate, 33, and husband Prince William, 32, after waiting outside for more than a week, in what has been dubbed the #GreatKateWait.

So you’ve got to forgive them for believing a hoax story that the Duchess had already given birth to a baby daughter named Charlotte.

Website 3tags wrote a completely made-up article about the royal birth, saying she’d giving birth to a ‘beautiful’ daughter, even mocking up a tweet from the official Kensington Palace Twitter account.

"I'm getting slightly dizzy with the abundance of this wonderful news," wrote one excited fan after finding out the news.

Sadly though, Kate has yet to give us even a slight inclination to when she will give birth, except for the comment she made that she is due ‘mid-to-late April’ earlier this year.

In fact, she was spotted driving into Buckingham Palace yesterday, April 28, to take one-year-old son Prince George for a dip in the Queen’s swimming pool.

Accompanied by five bodyguards, the royal was spotted driving her Range Rover into the London property. Perhaps she was trying to kick-start her labour by taking a dip in the Queen’s swimming pool?

After all, going for a swim will make the Duchess feel weightless (which is a massive bonus when you’re heavily pregnant).

If that doesn’t induce labour, there’s always pineapple, squatting, nipple stimulation and castor oil. Yes, really!
