Princess Charlotte And Prince George Photos: What The Royal Siblings Are Wearing
From Charlotte’s £14 bodysuit to George’s £7 socks, check out what the brother and sister duo were wearing in their first official portraits together
Never one to do things by the royal rule book, the Duchess of Cambridge chose to take the first portraits of her son and daughter duo together herself – just like her own father took the first private photos of herself, William and George in 2013.
The set of four snapshots, show George protectively holding his newborn sister, giving us our first glimpse of him as a big brother.
Naturally, George’s outfit has caused a flurry of excitement as fans of his traditional style have rushed out to buy the same short-and-shirt-set.
But it’s not just the ‘Prince George Effect’ anymore; the blonde-haired prince has some competition in the style stakes – in the form of his baby sis. The ‘Prince Charlotte Effect’ could soon be a thing, people.
Kate styled George up in a pristine white and blue outfit from British childrenswear designer Rachel Riley. The 22-month-old wore an adorable £59 short and shirt set, which featured blue piping and neat buttons.
George has previously been spotted in other outfits from the designer, including the famous sailboat dungarees that he worse on his first public royal play date last year.
He kept his legs warm during the photoshoot with a pair of £7 knee-high socks from Chelsea boutique Amaia, where Kate does a lot of her shopping.
On his feet, the toddler wore a pair of Start Rite’s ‘Jo’ first walking shoes on his feet. Naturally his blonde locks were styled to perfection, once again, with not a hair out of place.
The pictures taken at Amner Hall, in Norfolk, two weeks ago, gave us our first glimpse into Charlotte’s wardrobe.
She emerged from the hospital on May 2 in simply a shawl by G H Hurt and Son and a knitted bonnet, so this is the first time we’ve really seen what Kate dresses her daughter in.
The newborn also wore white and kept warm in a woolen jumper, matching tights and a frill collar organic cotton bodysuit costing just £14 from Polarn O. Pyret.
We’ll get our next glimpse of Charlotte (and hopefully George) at her christening at St Mary Magdalene’s Church on Sunday July 5.
