Kate Middleton royal baby name revealed?

Odds on the Duchess of Cambridge having a daughter named Princess Alexandra slashed from 10/1 to 2/1 in the past 24 hours

Kate Middleton is notoriously discreet when it comes to revealing details of her pregnancy, but it appears there may have been a royal leak if new odds are to be believed.

Bets on The Duchess of Cambridge having a baby daughter Alexandra have seen a frenzied rise in the past 24 hours, with the odds now slashed from 10/1 to 2/1.

Prince William’s pregnant wife caused a media storm when she reportedly ‘let slip’ the name of the royal baby and this has seemingly influenced bets on the royal baby name.

“The lady next to me gave her a teddy bear and I distinctly heard her say ‘Thank you, I will take that for my d....’,” said an onlooker at the time.

Since then, the odds on pregnant Kate having a baby girl have been slashed to 1/3 – with the chance of a boy currently at 5/2.

And if these rumours are to be believed, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are taking baby name inspiration from Queen Elizabeth.

The monarch’s full name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor so Prince William could be naming a daughter after his grandmother.

The only current member of the royal family with the name is Prince Michael of Kent's sister, Princess Alexandra.

“The gamble on Alexandra has come from nowhere and we've been forced to slash the odds accordingly,” said Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes.

“It looks like we might have another royal leak on our hands.”
