Perspiration

Perspiring (or sweating) is the body’s way of regulating its temperature. Sweating is increased during exercise, when putting physical strain on the body or when the body’s temperature is raised – either through physical exertion, atmosphere temperature or stress. When we sweat, water evaporates from the skin’s surface and takes heat away from the body to control its temperature. If we didn't sweat at all, we would overheat which could lead to heat exhaustion or fainting.
