Penelope Cruz has unveiled her sizzling photoshoot for the Campari 2013 calendar, posing in a series of stunning, blood-red gowns from the world’s leading fashion designers.
Penelope tempted fate posing for 13 images that reenact superstitious situations including breaking mirrors, walking on cracks and opening umbrellas indoors all while enjoying a cocktail from the iconic spirits brand.
The “Kiss Superstition Goodbye” theme for the limited edition calendar was shot by renowned fashion photographer Kristian Shuller.
For the shoot, the Twice Born star wore gorgeous ruby dresses from designers Zac Posen, Marchesa, Vivienne Westwood and Monique L’Huiller and stilettos from Italian designers Emilio Pucci and Salvatore Ferragamo.

The 38-year-old actress is the 14th star to have graced the Campari calander, joining a host of other beautiful faces including Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba and Salma Hayek.
Penelope told US Elle magazine that posing for the infamous calendar was like “saying goodbye to fear.”
Speaking about the photoshoot, she revealed: “As an actress, they often pose challenges to me of describing the indescribable, and this photo shoot was no different.
“We created a character who had to show a strong and positive attitude, and really get to the heart of each superstition and dissipate these myths by promoting confidence.”
The Campari Calendar is fast becoming one of the world’s iconic artistic calendars, with only 9,999 copies made. The collectible calendar is described as a tribute to the world’s most beautiful men and women, with world-class photographers making it come to life every year.
