Pedometer

A pedometer is an electronic device used to measure the amount of steps based on the movement of the hips. It is attached to the trousers or belt when exercising or day to day and often calculates calories burned and duration of exercise. It can provide encouragement to those with health, fitness or weight loss goals as it is a visual reminder of their efforts and results. An average adult takes approximately 2,000 steps per day but increasing this to 10,000 steps per day is said to aid weight loss and fitness levels.
