Nuts

Nuts are ideal for a healthy and satisfying snack, with varieties including Brazil nuts, almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts. They contain protein, omega-3 essential fatty acids and a variety of vitamins and minerals. Roasted, salted or coated nuts are often higher in calories, sugar, salt and ‘bad’ fats, and so plain nuts are a more nutritional choice. Nuts do contain fat, but it is monounsaturated and so it is less harmful to the body.
