Model Mum? Britney Spears Taking Maths Lessons To Help Son With His Homework
How’s that for hands-on parenting?
School children’s homework can be tough – especially when you send your little ones to a “really hard school”, Britney Spears says.
But instead of letting her two children, nine-year-old Preston and eight-year-old Jayden, struggle on unassisted, the Toxic hitmaker is taking pre-algebra classes so she can help out.
“Next year when [Preston’s] in fifth grade, he’s going to be doing pre-algebra, and I’m taking classes so I know how to do it!” she told PEOPLE magazine.
Britney didn’t have the chance to squeeze in a huge amount of education in her teen years, what with being an international pop star and all and clearly she wants to make sure schoolwork remains a priority for her sons.
But despite her fame and, we presume, wealth, she isn’t keen on spoiling her children.
Although her Insta account is full of snapshats of her family soaking up the sun on various holidays, she keeps a tab on her sons’ possessions.
Instead, the singer operates a reward system for her sons, giving them the chance to ‘earn’ a new toy.
“If they get so many A’s, they get one toy a month. Preston just asked for a high allowance like $10 a week or $20 a week – but we’ll see.”
The famous mum also admits that her sons pitch in with the housework and help out with the dishes, taking out the rubbish and helping with the family’s pet pooches.
Britney, who’s longer with her children’s father, Kevin Federline, is now rumoured to be engaged to producer boyfriend Charlie Ebersol and has admitted that she would like to have more children.
“I would like to have one more,” she said. “I am very satisfied with my two boys but maybe in the future.”
And as she’s a mum of two boys, she confessed she would love a girl. “I would love a mini-me. That would be fun!”
