Kylie Minogue has revealed her most glamorous fashion hits in a new exciting book.
Kylie/Fashion is the official tome commemorating 25 years of the singer’s most iconic outfits, including those skimpy gold hotpants and the white hooded jumpsuit she wore for Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.
Kylie and her stylist William Baker worked on the book which charts her influence on fashion since she shot to fame in the 80s with The Locomotion.
In Kylie/Fashion the singer shares her sartorial triumphs showcasing her most dazzling worldwide tour costumes and outfits from music videos that were made by some of the world’s leading fashion designers.
The new book features a foreword from Jean Paul Gaultier and text from John Galliano, Stella McCartney, Christopher Kane, Giles Deacon.
“This book charts my relationship with some of the most talented people in fashion throughout my career,” explained Kylie.
“It makes me very proud to see gathered together all the great designers and houses I’ve worked with over the years. Looking through my personal archives has been a real trip down memory lane and it is the fashion that brings back moments and memories of the last 25 years.”
Design duo Dolce and Gabbana, who created the dramatic Grecian-inspired gowns from her 2011 Aphrodite world tour are also featured in the book.
“For us, it's always a pleasure to create something special for our little princess,” write Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in the book. “In the Aphrodite costumes, Kylie truly looked like a goddess.”
Ironically, in the book Baker admits they nearly forgot to include an image of Kylie in her skimpy gold hotpants. ‘‘It’s amusing that when people think of Kylie, a pair of gleaming gold hotpants immediately comes to mind. For us, they are just a tiny glittering part of a much bigger picture,’’ Baker said.
