Trend watch: Neon colours aren’t just for summer, according to these celebs and our fashion expert

Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears and Ashley Roberts have all stepped out in the neon trend recently.

Neon colours are normally worn at the height of summer, but these celebs have proved that it’s a look that can be worn all year round.

“Accessories are a great starting point - try carrying a neon clutch with your favourite black dress, or adding a colour-pop necklace to a basic sweater,” she recommended.

“As a general rule of thumb, the darker your complexion, the more daring your colour choices can be,” she advised.

“If in doubt, the further away from your face the colour is, the easier it is to carry off - that's why a statement clutch works so well,” she said.
