Kristen Stewart’s stylist defends her Zuhair Murad outfits for Breaking Dawn: Part 2 red carpet

Twilight red carpet: Tara Swennen styled the star for Breaking Dawn promo trail and reveals she had to insist Kristen wear heels

Kristen Stewart’s personal stylist has defended the outfits she dressed the star in for the final Twilight film.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 actress stepped out in not one, but two Zuhair Murad designs for the red carpet, which split fashion critics across the globe.

“He’s had some very unique pieces; as you can obviously see, we went from the lace bustier gown at the premiere to the completely sheer beaded jumpsuit in London.

“I’m drawn to it just because each look is so special, and then it’s been fitting her so elegantly. She’s worn three recently, and each one of them has been stunning.”

Kristen also famously changed into a more laid-back outfit after the London premiere and she slipped into a pair of trainers for the German premiere in Berlin last week.

“Well, I clearly prefer a heel,” she said.

“I just think it photographs better. Regardless of it being any type of heel, I think it elongates the silhouette… But it’s part of her personality; I think it’s fun when she does it.”

But there are moments when Kristen doesn’t always get her way.

“There are definitely times when I have to say, “Please, please, please put the heel on just for me,” she added.

Kristen’s stylist also weighed in on the Balenciaga debate as Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière, who dressed the star for many red carpet events, has announced he is leaving the company.

“We have a wonderful relationship with Nicolas, and that won’t change either. She actually still has one more [Balenciaga].”
