Knee lift

A knee lift is an exercise often performed in step aerobics which involves raising each knee towards the chest in turn. It engages the stomach and thigh muscles. To increase calorie burn a hop can be added to each knee lift to increase heart rate – while incorporating arm lifts will increase this further. Aiming to lift the knee as high up to your chest as you can will increase calorie burn and toning. Knee lifts are an effective warm-up exercise.
