Kim Kardashian’s Most Excessive Move Yet? Pregnant Reality Star Hires Personal Trainer For Two-Year-Old Daughter

The reality star seems obsessed with making sure her two-year-old daughter looks as good as she does

North, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s teeny tiny daughter, has just celebrated her second birthday.

And unlike most two-year-old children, who spend their days playing at the park and watching Peppa Pig in their pajamas, little Nori sits front row at Paris Fashion Week, has festival-themed birthday parties that she’s too young to appreciate and runs around in ‘fashion-forward’ bulletproof vests.

But out of all of Kimye’s bizarre parenting shockers so far, news that they’ve reportedly hired their toddler a personal trainer has rendered us almost unable to type. Almost.

“[Kim Kardashian] has one of her guys work with North at the end of her session, once or twice a week,” a source told RadarOnline.com, noting that Kim has several fitness gurus on her payroll now that she’s pregnant with baby number two.

“They teach her fun stuff like stretches and other basic aerobics, nothing strenuous.”

Regardless of whether it’s fun or not, and how much spare cash Kim has to splash, hiring a personal trainer for a two-year-old child seems ludicrous. North will be downing the protein shakes next.

Of course, all children benefit from gentle exercise (hence why many babies and toddlers go swimming and do yoga and the like) outside of their daily routine, but this move by Kim just seems to suggest that she can’t find the time to do some light exercise with her daughter herself.

The NHS suggests that children under the age of five should be physically active for at least three hours a day, spread throughout the day, indoor and out. This can be a mix of light activity, such as moving around the house, and more energetic physical activity like running around a park or having a kitchen dance party.

By the age of two, toddlers should be able to run and walk well and might be able to kick a ball and jump in place with both feet, hence why classes such as ballet, which North attends with her slightly older cousin Penelope, is a great class for toddlers to attend.

There’s concern that with all of the various technological advancements, pre-schoolers are spending more time sat down glued to screens and less time being active – which isn’t helping the UK’s worrying childhood obesity rates. Almost a quarter of boys and girls are already overweight by the time they start school and experts predict that by 2050 some two-thirds of children could be too heavy for their height.
