Katie Hopkins Gives Her Children Some Unconventional Advice In Heartfelt Letter - And Reveals Epilepsy Will ‘Get Her’ One Day

The columnist, who’s made a name for herself by attacking other parents and children, has shocked readers by penning an open letter to her own kids

Katie Hopkins may be a lot of things and have said a lot of things, but above all she’s a loving mother – as she’s proved in a surprisingly heartfelt open letter to her children.

The controversial broadcaster used her latest Huffington Post column to hand out some slightly unusual parenting advice to her brood of three while simultaneously showing how much she loves them.

Katie, who’s a mum to Maximillian, India and Poppy, starts the letter in a slightly morbid fashion, explaining that her well-publicised struggle with epilepsy will “get her one day”.

Because of this, she says that she wants to write down a few things for her three children to remember as they get older. But, of course, it’s not your average parenting advice. This is Katie Hopkins, who thinks all fat children should be sent to special sports schools, after all.

“When you get older and kiss boys or girls or both, you will wonder why some people seem so amazing,” she writes. “Remember, everyone has to wee. Weeing makes us all the same – no matter how fantastic someone looks in a dress.” Ohhkay.

The columnist also imparts some of her own experience on her children, writing, “One day you might think you want to stay with one person for the rest of your life.

“Perhaps you will want to wear a big dress to celebrate. Ask yourself; ‘Will I look back in five years and think I looked a right twat?’ Mummy should have done this.”

But what surprised us is the sheer amount of love for her children that Katie lets shine through in her letter. It’s quite possibly one of the only times that the steely businesswoman has left her emotional side shine through.

She writes that she wants to be there for her children it all goes wrong – as her mum was for her. “Most of all I want you to find the fun like we do; to dance in your kitchen, to wear pants on your head because leg holes make great eye holes and eat chips in the rain.”

Katie even mentions her on “royal cock-ups” which have been well-documented because of her semi-celebrity status, but says she has “no regrets and wouldn’t change a single thing” – especially her three children.

Touchingly, she signs off writing, “Wherever I am – I will always be in the room just next door.”

Say what you will about Katie Hopkins but you have to admit she’s full of surprises.
