Kate Winslet doesn't obsess about her weight, as she reveals a flat stomach is not her priority

Labor Day actress refreshingly reveals that getting a flat stomach is not on her list of priorities

She might work in an industry obsessed with body image.

But Kate Winslet has revealed that bouncing back to her pre-pregnancy weight isn't high on her priority list - and neither is that much lusted after flat stomach.

In a refreshing new interview with Time Out magazine, Kate revealed being "around for her children" and "being healthy" are her priorities.

"Look, I'm 37 years old," she said. "I don't want to spend my time thinking about the size of my a**e.

"I want to be healthy and I want to have as much fun as I can have.

"I want to be around for my children. That's it. Those are the priorities. Not getting a flat stomach. I believe in being normal and healthy."

The 37-year-old English actress is due to give birth to her third child, her first with husband Ned Rocknroll, in just a few weeks and has a new movie, Labor Day, set to be released later this month.

And, as most mums would agree, that doesn't allow much time for hitting the gym after the birth.

When asked if fans can expect to see her rushing out to get her figure back, she exclaimed: "No! How does anyone have the time? Let's be real here. Everyone is different.

"Springing back into shape after a baby, that's not something that's even happened particularly swiftly for me."
