Kate Middleton shows off her chic autumn style AND athletic prowess on first solo outing since birth of Prince George

It's been less than three months since she gave birth to Prince George.

Kate Middleton is already back to her pre-pregnancy weight though, judging by these new pictures of her playing volleyball.

The Duchess of Cambridge made her first solo appearance since the birth of Prince George, as she visited a SportsAid Athlete Workshop at the Olympic Park in Stratford.

Proving that looking after a newborn has had no bearing on her eye for style, Kate wowed the crowds in some chic autumn styling - revealing a very toned stomach to boot.

In navy chinos, a striped long-sleeved top and a tailored navy jacket, Prince William's wife was perfectly turned out for the occasion.

But the Duchess clearly hadn't got the memo that there would be a game of volleyball happening too, as she wound up getting stuck in wearing teetering navy, cork-wedged heels rather than her trusty trainers.

Laughing off her choice of footwear, Kate didn't seem at all fazed by the mishap and actually seemed to fare well during the game, spiking the ball across the net.

Keeping the rest of her look to a minimum, Kate looked fresh-faced and flawless as she chatted with the young sports stars at the event.

And despite having young baby Prince George waiting for her at home, Kate was showing no signs of the tiredness that plagues new mums during those first few months.

Instead, what really caught onlookers' eyes was the taut stomach she revealed during the game, having clearly returned to her pre-pregnancy weight already.

Both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have kept a low-profile since the birth of baby George, having spent a few weeks with the Middleton family in Berkshire before heading home to Anglesey.
