Kate Middleton Changes Up Her Hairstyle For The First Time In 2014 During Blenheim, New Zealand Visit

Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge left Prince George at home as she joined Prince William on the fourth day of their NZ trip, sporting an on-trend wrap-around ponytail for the day

She’s certainly stuck to the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ mantra over the past couple of months.

So we breathed a sigh of relief this morning when we spotted Kate Middleton sporting a new hairstyle for the first time in 2014.

Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge sported an on-trend, looped ponytail as she visited Blenheim, New Zealand with husband Prince William – and we reckon she looked beautiful with the new style.

The mum-of-one nearly ALWAYS styles her hair into a glossy, wavy blow-dry which no doubt fans across the globe drool over - but it's so refreshing to see her changing it up a bit.

The 32-year-old Duchess left son Prince George of Cambridge at home as she spent the day exploring the NZ city alongside her spouse.

And we're not sure if Prince William planned his matching outfit to Kate's as he was also snapped in blue for the occasion, opting for a navy suit with a striped tie and classic black brogue shoes.

The couple met well-wishers who handed them gifts for their eight-month old son and British flags for the pair – while Kate looked in her element as she chatted to onlookers.

Kate and Wills also laid a wreath at the Blenheim War Memorial in Seymour Square on the fourth day of their three-week tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Prince William, 31, was pictured climbing in and out of various planes as Kate looked on excitedly - before the pair met WW2 Spitfire veteran Harcourt Bunt.

The royal couple also visited the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre and toured Lord of the Rings director Sir Peter Jackson’s ‘Knights of the Sky’ exhibition, one of the world's largest collections of WW1 aircraft and rare memorabilia.

For her visit to Blenheim, the Duchess donned a dusky blue Alexander McQueen coat and a pair of navy pointed heels.

It’s one of the first times we’ve had a glimpse at Kate’s spring 2014 wardrobe and her choice of outerwear looked seasonally appropriate for NZ but would work well in the UK too.

We might not be able to afford Kate’s coat but we can get a similar hairstyle for a fraction of the price.

Yahoo Lifestyle recommends the NEW Tousled Ponytail, £34.99, Beauty Works to get the look of the elegant Duchess.
