Kate Middleton shows off slight baby bump in designer grey wrap dress

The Duchess of Cambridge kept her bump under wraps in a demure grey pattern dress at visit to charity centre

The Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) has made her first public appearance since her babymoon with Prince William.

Revealing the definite outline of a baby bump under her stylish grey MaxMara wrap dress, pregnant Kate was visiting Hope House in Clapham, South London, which is a charity recovery centre for women battling addiction.Kate's silhouette showed off her slight baby bump ©PA

For her first official engagement of 2013, the 31-year-old opted for one of her favourite dress shapes. Kate paired her slightly above-the-knee sleeved dress with black heels and showed off a flattering tan.

The Duchess is a patron of the charity, Action on Addiction, and will spend an hour and a half today with women staying at the recovery centre, speaking with them about their experiences.

In a pose we've seen before, Kate was careful to keep her bump as inconspicuous as possible, holding her clasped hands in front of her in many of the snaps.

Body language expert Judi James explains: "Kate has always had a habit of holding her hands clasped low in front of her torso like this.

"But now that she's pregnant what was once a signature fashion look seems to have evolved subtly into something that looks far more like a mum-to-be guarding her bump with pride and care."Kate kept her hands in front of her bump of most of the visit ©PA

The eyes of the media have been desperately trying to find a clear view of Kate's 19-week bump, but the pattern on the MaxMara design was a clever disguise.

We can, however, see the outline of a small baby bump and Kate looked quite at ease with no traces of the earlier severe morning sickness she suffered earlier in the pregnancy.
