Kate Middleton And Prince William Escape Halloween Trick Or Treaters On Scottish Getaway

Kate Middleton and Prince William will be spending Halloween in Scotland, according to reports.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have jetted out to Balmoral Castle for a second ‘babymoon’ so that the pregnant Duchess can rest following her public engagements.

The royal pair, both 32, are on a romantic Scottish getaway to the Queen’s second home – and have brought their son, one-year-old Prince George – along with them.

"William wanted to take Kate away for a break after her [rough past couple of months]," a source told US Weekly.

"They both love the outdoors and the weather isn't too cold yet, so it's the perfect time to take a trip."

The castle is located within a 50,000-acre estate in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire (no trick or treaters for them, then).

It’s where Kate, William and George spent their summer holiday while their Norfolk home was being renovated.

But the family getaway is very different to how a newly single Duchess of Cambridge spent Halloween eight years ago.

The pair met at St. Andrews University in 2001 but split for several months in 2007, in which time the former Kate Middleton let her hair down to show William what he was missing.

While they were on a break, Kate dressed up as a sexy witch to party until the early hours at Mahiki nightclub in London alongside her younger sister, Pippa Middleton.

The Duchess-to-be was pictured leaving the club wearing a black mini-dress that had a gaping hole in the chest (no wonder it looked like she was trying to cover it).

Black fishnet tights, knee-high boots and a metallic waist belt completed Kate’s spookyHalloween look.

Well it certainly worked to get Prince William back in her life. The couple reunited shortly after, before announcing their engagement in 2010.  

They wed at Westminster Abbey a year later before the Duchess gave birth to the couple’s first child, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, in July 2013.

Clarence House recently announced that pregnant Kate Middleton’s second child is due in April 2014.
