Incredible Video Of A 20-Month-Old Baby Rock Climbing WITHOUT A Harness Goes Viral
But the child loves the sport and has never been hurt, claims her mum
Most babies are walking solo when they’re between 14 to 15 months old and Ellie Framer cracked it when she was 10 months.
But at eight months old, she was rock climbing.
Yes, actually pulling her teeny tiny body up a vertical wall.
Ellie, who’s now 20 months old, has become an Internet sensation after her parents, Rachael and Zak, posted a video of her climbing a seven-foot wall without any ropes.
The freestyle climbing style is known as ‘bouldering’ but although Ellie doesn’t have a harness she always has a thick pad beneath her. Although we’re not sure how much of a cushion that would give her, should she fall. Definitely not a sport to try at home with your baby.
Rachael wrote on Facebook that although some people have commented that it looks dangerous, her baby is always safe and has never been hurt climbing.
“Falling usually ends up with a giggle fit and trying the climb again until she successfully finished the route,” she wrote.
The tot’s parents introduced her to the sport, after building a climbing wall in her nursery. Both parents climb competitively and Rachael kept it up until just three days before Ellie was born – so it’s safe to say it’s in her blood.
Ellie even has her own Facebook page, The Little Zen Monkey, where fans can keep up to date with her rock climbing challenges.
