Celebrities like Katy Perry, Demi Moore and Jennifer Lopez are among the A-Listers rumoured to be taking green coffee extract tablets to burn fat and stay slim.
According to dieticians, green coffee extract contains fat-busting Chlorogenic Acids, which one study by the University of Scranton showed can boost weight loss by 10%.
The little green pill made from unripe coffee been extract contains no caffeine and said to help suppress the appetite.
According to one Hollywood nutritionist, you're supposed to take 800mg of green coffee extract per day, but in the run-up to the Oscars some celebs were taking double that amount.

Scientist Joe Vinson, who led a study into green coffee at the University of Scranton, said, "Based on our results, taking multiple capsules of green coffee extract a day — while eating a low-fat, healthful diet and exercising regularly — appears to be a safe, effective, inexpensive way to lose weight."
But not everyone agrees. In fact, some argue it can cause anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome and high blood pressure.
London based nutritionist, Romi Polichino, has said, "People who have suffered from any of these things (above), or panic attacks and epilepsy, shouldn't take them."
Plus, the production of these pills is uncontrolled meaning quality can vary widely. Some companies have been found to substitute the expensive coffee extract for cheaper ingredients that are banned in the UK.
Our advice? Seek medical advice before you start taking these Hollywood pills and don't take them if you're already at a healthy weight.
