Heavily Pregnant Duchess Of Cambridge Makes (Actual) Last Public Appearance In Hot Pink Coat

Is Kate Middleton trying to tell us something?

If Kate Middleton’s every outfit wasn’t planned weeks in advance and she did just dress without thinking, we would say that the outfit she’s wearing today screams “I’m having a girl!”.

Or maybe her hot pink coat is merely a red herring to throw us off the scent that she’s expecting a boy. Or perhaps we’re completely overthinking this.

Either way, the heavily pregnant Duchess stepped out in Deptford this morning, on what’s thought to be her last public appearance before giving birth to her second child.

But then again, we all thought she had already gone on maternity leave so we could well be seeing Kate again before baby number two arrives.

Kate visited the Stephen Lawrence Centre in London, with Prince William for company. Sadly, no Prince George in sight though.

She wore a hot pink double-breasted coat from Mulberry – which she has previously been spotted in. The Duchess wore the same coat while visiting the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York last December.

But while in NYC she chose to keep her brunette tresses away from her face in a ponytail, today the Duchess kept her locks loose and curled.

Despite the loose-fitting coat, you can clearly see Kate’s blossoming bump in these snapshots. At around eight months pregnant, she’s almost at the end of her second pregnancy and her second child is expect to arrive within the next month.

In fact, it’s been predicted the child may arrive on April 15 – but that’s just speculation.

All rumours about the baby’s gender are purely speculative, too, and it’s not known whether the Duke and Duchess will be welcoming a second son or a baby girl into the family.

Regardless of the baby’s gender, new rules on royal succession mean that even if the baby’s a girl, she will follow after Prince George and be fourth in line to the throne – whether she has any younger brothers in the future or not.

The act was passed by Parliament in 2013, before Prince George’s arrival, but it wasn’t passed in all countries where the Queen is head of state.
