Has Kate Middleton Gone Into Labour? Royal Baby Could Be Born Sooner Than Expected

‘Is the Duchess of Cambridge’s due date today?’ is the question we’re all asking at the moment

We’ve all been preparing for the second royal baby to arrive on Saturday 25th April, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge could become parents of two before then.

Royal sources emphasised that the monarchy never confirmed a due date and Kate Middleton could be due to give birth sooner than this weekend – good news for all of the die-hard royalists currently camping outside St Mary’s Lindo Wing in London.

“The Duchess herself said mid to late April and there have been plenty of dates bandied around in the media but we’ve never confirmed anything and we never will,” a Kensington Palace source told MailOnline.

While Saturday remains the favourite day for the baby to arrive with bookmakers, today and Friday are also popular at 6/1.

The hospital in Paddington is all prepped and waiting for Kate’s arrival – the police were seen searching the area on Tuesday and barriers have been put up around the area.

Prince William has also now finished his Air Ambulance training and is thought to be with Kate at their Kensington Palace apartment – just a short drive from the hospital.

“The Duke of Cambridge has completed the first phase of his in-work air ambulance helicopter pilot training with Bond Air Services earlier than anticipated,” a Kensington Palace statement read on Tuesday.

“This is due to a combination of The Duke performing well in the various modules and having very good flying conditions that allowed flight training and assessment to progress more quickly than had been planned.”

Or… it could be because Kate is fast approaching her due date? Or shown signs of early labour? Just a thought.

Wills isn’t the only Prince to rush home this week. Prince Harry’s also returning to the UK this weekend, which has led the British public to believe he’s hoping for the chance to pay his new niece or nephew a visit.

He’s reportedly returning to support runners in the London Marathon, which he’s a patron of. But baby or not, Harry has to return to Australia on Monday to continue his duties in the Australian Army.
