Happy Birthday Prince George! Baby Cambridge Celebrates With A Peter Rabbit Party

Even though it feels like he’s been around for ages, Prince George is finally turning one today!

HRH has melted even the coldest republican hearts with those chubby cheeks, diddy dungarees and hilariously grumpy faces.

As expected, the Cambridges will be celebrating little George’s birthday in style with not one but two parties for the royal tot.

Unsurprisingly Carole Middleton, whose business is planning parties, jumped at the chance to throw a party for her first grandchild at the family home in Berkshire last Saturday.

The ‘private family occasion’ was Peter Rabbit themed and if we spend too long thinking about Prince George running around in bunny ears our hearts may implode.

TOO DAMN CUTE.

Guests including Zara Phillips and George’s cousin Mia nibbled on finger food and bunny shaped biscuits, while the little prince played with his presents – including a wooden train and a hand-stitched football.

The Beatrix Potter theme is rather fitting as George’s mum Kate Middleton is actually related to the famous children’s author.

According to The Telegraph, the Duchess is distantly related to the prolific author by marriage via her great-great-great uncle.

Of course Kate and William will be hosting a more befitting soiree at their Kensington Palace apartment, which the Queen will attend to celebrate her great-grandchild’s big day.

And unlike the average one-year-old, George will have his very own commemorative birthday coin made by the Royal Mint.

It’ll set you back £80 for one of the limited 7,500 £5 coins – only for the most die-hard Prince George fans.
