H&M joining forces with Isabel Marant for Winter 2013

High street retailers collaborating with the Parisian designer to create a ‘wardrobe of must-have pieces’ to launch in November

Fashion store H&M has announced Isabel Marant as its latest collaboration.

The Parisian designer will work with the high street retailer to create a ‘wardrobe of must-have pieces’ to launch in November.

For H&M, the 46-year-old will design a line of clothes and accessories for women and teenagers in her signature laid-back style.

In a first for designer collaborations with the Swedish retailer, she’ll also create a mens' line too.

“I aim at creating something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which I think is very Parisian: you dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy,” said Marant in a statement.

“The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be mixed following one’s own instincts: my take on fashion is all about personality.”

H&M described Isabel Marant’s style as ‘effortless and urban’ that makes her very ‘contemporary.’

Creative Director of the eponymous French fashion label, Isabel epitomises French chic and single-handedly spawned the famous trainer wedge.

The Isabel Marant for H&M collaboration will drop in 250 stores and online on the 14th November 2013.

Previous H&M designer collections, including Stella McCartney, Versace and Maison Martin Margiela, have sold out in hours with customers queuing around the store to get their hands on the limited edition pieces.
