Welcome to this week's round-up of food deals, discounts and freebies.
Best supermarket deals
This week we’re going to kick off with the best buys at Sainsbury’s; buy Giovanni Rana tortellini for £1 (was £1.99), Cook Italian Chopped Tomatoes (4 tins) for £3 (was £4.39), Nestle Golden Nuggets or Nestle Nesquik for £1.50 (was £2.28), Penn State Pretzels Sour Cream and Chive for 75p (was £1.50) and for a posh treat this Easter Sunday, you can roast your tatties in La Truffe Cendree Graisse D'oie Goose Fat for £2.32 (was £3.49), grab selected meats and fish at half-price and treat your guests to Sainsbury's Profiteroles with Chocolate Sauce (20 per pack) for £1 (was £2).
Other treats on offer are the Sainsbury’s ‘Bites’ (choose from Milk Chocolate Cornflake Crispy Bites, Flapjack Bites and Chocolate Brownie Bites) which are all only £1 each.
There are some fab deals on meat and fish just in time for Easter Weekend at Morrisons including vacuum-packed British Beef Roasting Joints half price at £4.98 per kg, vacuum-packed Leg of Pork Roasting Joints half price at £3 per kg, Gammon Joints half-price at £3.49 per kg, British Flavoured Pork Ribs for £3.70 per kg (was £4.70), Salmon & King Prawn Fishcakes or Smoked Haddock Fishcakes half-price at £1.96 and BOGOF on Lyons Large King Prawn (usually £3.99 each).
Then for your cupboards, check out these half-price offers: Gefen Chocolate Macaroons for £1.84, Eshel Salted Roasted Cashew Nuts 200g for £1.75, Tiptree Strawberry Jam for £1.49, Loyd Grossman Italian Sauces 350g for 94p and Passover Superfine Matzos 300g for 50p.
Moving on to Asda it's three for £10 on Chosen by You Cumberland Sausages (usually £3.94 each) which means you get a massive 60 sausages for £10, Kallo Organic Stock Cubes for 84p (was £1.09), 1 litre of Olivio Sunflower Olive Oil for £2 (was £2.99) and McDougalls Flour 1.5kg for £1 (was £1.78).
Tesco is selling Horlicks Light Malt Drink for £3 (was £3.99), Innocent Veg Pots for £1.89 (was £3.79) – but only the 10th April – 700g of frozen Shahada Halal Skinless Breast Fillets for £2.99 (was £5.99), Pizza Express pizzas for £2.50 (was £5) and 9-packs of McVitie’s Gold Biscuit Bars for 87p (was £1.75).
Other deals include Tesco Finest Brussels Pate for £1 (was £2), 4-packs of Kellogg's Rice Krispies Squares Totally Chocolatey for £1 (was £1.99), 200g of Tesco Finest Albacore Tuna Steak in Olive Oil for £1.99 (was £3.99) and On the Vine Tomatoes for 90p (was £1.80). You can also buy 26g Snack-a-Jacks at 2 for 90p, but you get more for your money if you buy the 4-packs for £1 (was £1.60).
Now on to the weekend’s half-price deals at Lidl – this time you can buy 500g of parsnips for a mere 29p, 1kg of carrots for 34p and two Braemoor Lamb Shanks for £2.49. These three are only available today and Saturday but there are loads of other bargains to be had including 2kg of Rooster potatoes for £1 (you save 79p), 500g cured pork loin joints for £3.29 (you save 70p) and half-price boneless pork leg joints for £2.99.
Finally, check out the special offers this week from online gourmet butcher Westin Gourmet which includes 11% off Australian 100 Day Rump Steak 1kg joints, now £16.25 (was £18.20), 17% off Rindless Smoked Back Bacon, now £10.86 for a 2.27kg Pack (was £13.03) and 32% off a 1kg Wheel of French Brie, now £13.48 (was £19.76).
Drink discounts
Some of the best wine offers at Tesco include Berberana Rioja Reserva Etiqueta Negra for £6.49 (was £12.99), Isla Negra Reserve Merlot for £4.99 (was £9.99) and Ogio Pinot Grigio Rosé also for £4.99 (was £9.99).
Or if you’re doing your weekly shop at Asda and want some beer, grab 4-packs (275ml bottles) of Grolsch Premium Lager for £3 (was £3.79) and 12-packs (330 ml bottles) of Sol Mexican beer for £9 (was £11).

Voucher codes
If you want to stock up on your fave teas and coffees there is a new sale on at Whittard saving you up to 50%. Team it with some choc – you can save 10% when you spend £25 at Hotel Chocolat with the code VCSUM10, which expires on Sunday 8th April.
There is another code for new Sainsbury’s customers; you can once again save £10 on orders over £50 using the code CQ4Y-DDDH-NRJ9, which expires Saturday 14th April.
The £5 off offer is back at Tesco – as with last week if you spend £40 online and get it delivered by Sunday 8th April they will email you a voucher entitling you to £5 off you’re your next £40 shop (delivered on or before Sunday 15th April). Various items are excluded such as tobacco products, prescriptions and infant formula so these won’t count towards the spend. See the details here.
Spend £35 or more (excluding delivery) at Hotel Chocolat and you will get a free gift – the Taste of Spring chocolate box, worth £7.50, as a thank you (this offer is available in store as well until 8th April).
