The first still from Gone Girl has been released, giving fans a sneak peek at Ben Affleck in David Fincher's upcoming thriller.
The photo was distributed via 20th Century Fox's Twitter account alongside the caption: "Check out @BenAffleck as Nick Dunne, a suspect seeking the truth in his wife's disappearance in #GoneGirl."

It shows Affleck in the lead role of Nick Dunne as he stands in front of a missing poster featuring his wife's face.
The film follows the story of married couple Nick and Amy Dunne, whose move from New York to small town Missouri takes a scary turn when Amy disappears on their fifth wedding anniversary and he subsequently becomes the prime suspect in the case.
Neil Patrick Harris, Missi Pyle and Tyler Perry also star in Gone Girl, due for release in October 2014.
