Drew Barrymore’s Take On Baby Weight Is AMAZINGLY Healthy – And Inspiring

Rather than getting stressed out about snapping back to her pre-pregnancy figure, mum of two Drew Barrymore is learning to love her body as it is

Finally, a celebrity mum we can relate to.

Rather than snap back to her pre-pregnancy shape at the speed of light, Drew Barrymore has admitted that her post-baby body is “saggy and weird” – and she’s slowly learning to love it.

But then after two children, most women find they have a few unwelcome lumps and bumps that take some getting to used to.

“After making two babies, holy cow, does your body do some crazy stuff! It’s hard to stay positive and love yourself,” the 40-year-old actress told Glamour magazine. “You feel like a kangaroo with a giant pouch; everything’s saggy and weird.”

But despite the saggy skin, Drew has the right idea about her new body shape.

“You think about how beautiful it is that you’re able to make children,” she said. “When I lose sight of that, I exercise, read Dr. Seuss’s Oh, The Places You’ll Go! and spend time with my kids.

“Then I start to see things that are bigger than myself.”

Despite her concerns, we reckon the mum of two quite frankly looks amazing.

Her Instagram account is full of beautiful – and real – smile-filled photos of the actress and her daughters, 11 month old Frankie and two year old Olive, that we can’t get enough of.

Of course, Drew’s not the only famous mum to speak openly about her getting used to her motherly body. Zara Phillips recently admitted that building up her fitness levels after her daughter Mia’s birth last January has taken longer than she expected.

The Queen’s granddaughter, who’s a professional equestrian rider, said that what surprised her most about having a baby was “losing all [her] fitness and how tough it is to get it back.”
