Dad’s Hilarious Pushchair Advert Goes Viral

Captioning the buggy as the item that ended his “happy carefree life”, the item has already made £150,000 on eBay

Online sellers, listen up. This is how to sell a product for an incredibly high amount.

Through one tongue-in-cheek eBay ad, a dad may well of funded his children's entire upbringing.

Joel Andresier, from Southhampton, listed a buggy with a hilarious description – and it appears to have paid off. Literally.

Describing the Phil&Teds Explorer Double pushchair as having been covered in “pretty much every bodily fluid known to science,” the dad-of-three and his wife, Susan, can’t believe how popular it’s become.

“This was purchased against my wishes many years ago as I never wanted any children and a buggy signified my wife’s intent to have children,” Mr Andresier wrote in the product description. “We argued much and this buggy signifies everything that ended my happy carefree low-cost child free life.”

Mr Andreiser continued his humorous rant, writing about how much he hates the buggy – and how he’s bought cars that cost less than this buggy.

“I now have three children, and a Labrador and am forced to endure the school run where women I don’t know try and discuss the price of Centre Parc holidays, and the benefits of the micro over the mini micro scooter.

“To summarise my life is over and this green albatross needs to go round some other poor sods neck.

“All of my children are now walking (often in completely the wrong direction) but someone else deserves to give this a good home. Over the years I have collected spare bits from other zombified fathers who were once full of life and I will throw these in as well."

We reckon Mr Andresier will be pretty happy with how much he raises from the sale of the pushchair, as it currently has reached over £156,000 – with 221 bids. While in response to one comment he said the money was “irrelevant”, he did say that if the buggy sold for a good amount he would get a vasectomy.

Mrs Andreiser, who admits that her husband has a dry sense of humour, shared the post on Facebook and said she “couldn’t believe how many people had shared it and look at it, and put comments on eBay about it.”

While some commenters didn’t see the funny side of the post and called it “pathetic”, another user labeled the ad as “marketing genius.”

We wonder if the person who wints the pushchair will actually pay up... It's an awful lot of money to spend on something funny!
