There's nothing like homemade Mother's Day gifts - especially when little fingers have had a hand in making them.

So dads and grandparents take heed - it's this Sunday and to make the mum in your life feel really special, all you need to do is put in a teeny bit of effort (and some supervising) for these perfect presents. (And it'll keep the tots occupied for a while!)

Mix together in a large bowl… ¼ cup of Epsom salts, 1 tsp of comfrey oil, 4 drops of spearmint essential oil, four drops of rosemary essential oil. Colour with Spirulina if desired.

To make the lavender bath soak…

Mix together…1/2 cup Epsom salts, four drops lavender essential oil, ¼ bunch dried lavender

Then decorate your jars however you like and add labels to let Mum know what’s inside.

We used adhesive fabric circles to decorate the tops of the jars and tied ribbon around them to attach the labels.

Get creative and try out your best patterns on the labels.

Attach a card handle to a paper cup to make your pot.

Use a decoupage technique decorate your pot - decoupage is using ripped up pieces of paper and PVA glue to layer your surface leaving a 3D effect. Use a paintbrush to layer the PVA glue and paper. Leave to dry.

Meanwhile, cut out your petals using various coloured card. To make them even, use your first petal as a stencil.

Now make your flowers using four petals per flower and attach to a wooden lolly stick.

Make about four or five flowers.

When these are dry attach your chocolates to the centre of flower using sticky tape – no one wants glue-y chocolates!

Pop the rest of the chocolates in the bottom of the pot and hang on Mum’s door.
