It was the highlight of the London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2013 calendar.
And Burberry Prorsum surpassed all expectations, putting on a runway show so powerful many of the audience were moved to tears.
Models strutted down the catwalk to beautiful, live music that filled the glass arena, showcasing the AW13 collection that was classic Burberry with a distinct twist.
Camel coats were made to look like animal print with gold applique patterns; macs were given contrasting sleeves with gold panels at the pockets and knee-length skirts were restyled in wet-look fabric.
Clutch bags came oversized and slouchy, with some of the totes almost too much of a handful for the models to carry in their animal-print pointed courts - our favourite being a zebra-printed shopper.
Animal-print was a clear focus for creative director Christopher Bailey, with the neutral and earthy tone pieces teamed with toffee-coloured leather skirts and beige 3/4-length-sleeved jumpers.
Bolder statements came in the form of stripes, with thick red and blue stripe skirts and dresses adding a flash of colour to the largely neutral palette.
Models du jour Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn showcased the new season's cute heart-print that's destined to be a sell-out, with Cara showing off briefs in the pattern while Jourdan took the chic dress.
A new take on the military trend came in the form of leather skirts made up of tiny tassels and gold appliques, seen both in the clothing and accessories line.
But beautiful fashion wasn't all Christopher Bailey showcased to the packed-out audience, as he surprised the audience by revealing a new part of his catwalk halfway through.
Finally, where the live music was coming from was revealed - as doors opened to a singer at his piano, surrounded by a choir.
Filling the room with the sound, it was this mixed with the surprise and the chic catwalk looks on display that brought on the emotion - leaving many searching their handbags for a tissue.
As predicted, the Burberry Prorsum AW13 show - which was one of the highlights of day four - drew in an A-list FROW crowd.
Actress Kate Beckinsale, Rita Ora, Freida Pinto, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Victoria Pendleton were all in attendance at the show, which was held at Kensington Gardens.
