Breathable Yoga Pants Invented: Don’t Sweat It While You’re Doing Downward Dog

Revolutionary underwear brand Dear Kate – famous for creating ‘period panties’ - create high-performance undies especially designed for sport

You sweat when you do sport… Standard.

But revolutionary underwear brand Dear Kate has questioned this assumption with a new range of breathable pants that allow you to work out sweat-free.

That's if you do exercise in your undies - which going by these pics is pretty common in the States.

The US brand’s new Hazel Sport Collection is a range of ‘high-performance underwear for high performing women’, meaning you can do the downward dog sweat-free.

The brand’s founder and CEO Julie Sygiel – who’s also a chemical engineer – spotted a gap in the market for breathable pants and devised the patent-pending, breathable fabric in each pair.

She helped to develop the neon-trim pants, which retail from $32 (£18) for a thong up to $170 (£100) for a five-pack on the brand’s website.

The silky-soft knickers feature wide sides and full back coverage to ensure they stay put during your work-out – while the leak-resistant outer layer prevents all kinds of leaks.

Dear Kate’s Sport Collection pants also include a black inner lining and are machine washable to ensure all stains can be washed out.

It’s not the first time the brand has developed revolutionised underwear as it’s the same company that created the ‘period panties’.

Yup, you read that right.

Dear Kate undies are designed to replace typical pantyliners and can hold about three teaspoons of liquid – though they are supposed to be used alongside your regular sanitary routine.
