Mature women named ‘Most Beautiful’ in 2011 list
US magazine People has released a sneak peek of their ‘Most Beautiful’ list of 2011- and female celebrities aged 35 plus take the top spots.
Jennifer Lopez topped the ‘Most Beautiful’ list and graces the cover of the magazine’s annual issue.

The Latino pop singer, 41, is joined by a string of other mature beauties, including Dana Delany, 55, Sandra Bullock, 46, Eva Longoria, 36, and Reese Witherspoon, 35.
In the interview with the magazine, Lopez said she was ‘honoured’ to be given the title and, ‘Proud that I am not 25.’
She conceded that looking good is all part of the job. "I don't want anybody thinking it's easy," the current American Idol judge said. "It does take time and it’s hard work. HDTV wide-screen is nobody's friend!"
Another grown face to make the list was Desperate Housewives actress Dana Delany, who plays Katherine Mayfair. She says her secret to maintaining her good looks is all down to a healthy diet.
Last year, Julia Roberts, 41 at the time, was named People’s 'Most Beautiful', and in 2009, Christina Applegate, 37 at the time, topped their list.
In a pool of hot and youthful Hollywood faces, acknowledging older women’s beauty has signified a shift in an industry which once seemed only to valued young, 20-something starlets.

But mature stars of the female variety aren’t the only ones to be recognised for their good looks. Sean Connery at 59, Pierce Brosnan at 48, Johnny Depp at 46 and Richard Gere at 50 have all previously been crowned 'World’s Sexiest Man Alive' by People.
