Cher Lloyd gets made over in latest magazine photo shoot

X-Factor runner-up Cher Lloyd has traded in her street style for something more edgy.

Minus the fake-tan and heavy make-up, the outspoken teen shows off her flame-red hair, in an elegant photo shoot for Wonderland magazine.

Since dyeing her hair and getting more tattoos, Cher has been called a Cheryl Cole clone. Appearing in an alternative magazine like this offers the aspiring singer a chance to step away from her alleged copycat style.

The reason for her radical hair change was all for building her image. Cher told Wonderland, 'I wanted something that would sort of represent me, that's fiery and outgoing. So I thought a bit of a red would do me good.

In the upcoming issue, the aspiring pop star also addresses the criticism she received since leaving the show. She told Wonderland, 'Sometimes stuff people say really affects me, whether it's about the way I look or the way that I'm acting. It can get me really stressed out.'

The 17-year old added, 'And it's like, give me a little break. A week of somebody being nice to me would be lovely.'

Despite all the negative comments Cher is determined to sing her way to the number one spot.

Known for her individual style she commented on her desire to stand out, 'I want to be edgy and even if I do things wrong, who cares?'
