Turn The Memory Of A Loved One Into...A Sex Toy?!

There are so many excellent ways of celebrating the memory of a deceased lover. This is not one of them.

A husband or lover passing away is a horrendous, unbearable thought.

Letting go of someone before you are ready to let them go is an extremely difficult task and the grieving process is unique to everyone that experiences it.

Many find comfort in visiting a grave or lighting a candle.

Others take solace in a new lover or seek warmth in another pair of arms.

There are so many different ways of dealing with loss and celebrating the memory of someone that has gone and it isn't usually for us to determine which of these methods is most effective or acceptible.

But, there's no denying that this latest suggestion is just plain odd.

Dutch designer Mark Sturkenboom has invented a way to turn your dead lover into a sex toy.

Dubbed the "21 Grams", it is essentially a hollow dildo, with space to house 21 grams of your loved one's ashes.

Claiming to be concerned with the "deeper layers in the relation between an object and its owner," Sturkenboom hopes he can allow a "widow to go back to the intimate memories of a lost beloved one."

Right.

To aid the experience of "intimate memories," the case in which the dildo lives also includes a perfume container and puff, allowing you to douse the air with their scent while you get aquainted with the battery operated toy, and also some sort of speaker system, so you can play their favourite sex tunes.

According to Sturkenboom, "21 Grams is not only a way to tempt a person to revive an intimate night with her love again, but also displays an accusation against the unavoidable passing of life."

Whatever that means.

So, how would you prefer to ensure the enduring memories of a lost lover? Memorial, candles, photos....or an ash-filled, scented, music-playing sex toy?
