Wherever you come from you'll probably have a favourite sex position - one that you always rely on and the one you miss when your partner insists on 'trying something new'.
And though it turns out the UK isn't all that adventurous in its tastes - the variation between different areas and their favourite positions shows quite a geographical divide.
For example, people having sex in Scotland prefer to take it easy and do it spooning, while those in London just do not have time to faff about finding a bed and go for the more energetic standing up option.
And in the North East they're far more adventurous than their North Western cousins, prefering the reverse cowgirl to missionary.
Almost half of Nortern Irish love-makers prefer to do it girl on top/cowgirl style (43 per cent), a fave position shared by those in the East Midlands.
If you're looking for the most sexually traditional adults in the UK, they appear to be congragated in the West, with both South and North West putting missionary as their preferred position.
The survey by online pharmacy UKMedix also asked how kinky people rated themselves on a scale of one to 10 (one being the most vanilla). Those in the South East thought themselves the kiniest, with a 9/10 score, followed by Scotland and Wales with 8/10.
The least kinky - perhaps unsurprisingly from their penchent for missionary - was the South West, which scored just 3/10 on the kinkinest level.
When it comes to using protection, Northern Ireland has the best attitudes towards safety, with 79 per cent stating that they always had safe sex. And it turns out Yorkshire & the Humber are the riskiest region, with only 32 per cent saying the same.
So the takeaway? If you want adventurous sex head to Northern Ireland - safe and saucy. That's what we like to hear!
