To give our laptops a little break, some of the GOTG Bloggers snuck out of the office for a quick visit to the B Public Relations’ Showroom for a little outfit inspiration

The ‘unspoken’ rule of London Fashion Week Street Style is to wear outfits inspired by the current or future fashion season. For February’s LFW, many Street Style Bloggers will wear pieces inspired by SS15 Fashion Shows – in layman terms, they will be wearing trends shown on September’s Catwalk shows.

This season the 70s reign supreme! Expect to see a lot of Street Style outfits featuring suede, flared jeans, high neck shirts and faux fur. This trend is all about earthy colour tones and beaded detailing with a touch of ethereal cuts. Charlotte from The Good Owl has meshed two of 2015’s biggest trends - Denim & 70s Fashion - by opting for a chic pair of Grey Denim Film Noir Dungarees - £75.80 via Miss Patina - and a Fluffy Faux Fur Jacket - £25 via Missguided.

The midi skirt has proven to be a winter and spring wardrobe staple so don’t think of ditching your skirts just yet. Midi skirts are one of those ‘One trend fits all” pieces as you can get them in a variety of styles and cuts - A-line, pencil, pleated - to flatter your body shape.

Put an SS15 spin to your favourite midi skirt style by opting for a statement print. You can either go bright and bold with a Full Floral Brocade Midi Skirt - £24 via Missguided - or sleek and chic with this Striped, Pleated Skirt - £58 via Miss Pantina.

Love oversized coats and jumpers? Well you’re definitely going to love the SS15 Utility trend. This Spring the military trend has been reimagined and given a softer chic look … with lots of pockets! Grab a chic tailored shirt - via Miss Patina - with a pair of Leather Cropped Cigarette Trousers - £30 via Missguided - for a Parisian take on the androgynous trend, then take it to the next level with this Oversized Khaki Trench Coat - £96 via Glamorous - thrown over your shoulders to complete the look

If you aren’t a big fan of utility, monotones or fur, there are still a few micro-trends out there that might be right up your street. Zoe from Face Value Beauty loves this preppy blazer (£45) and shorts (£38) set from Neon Rose (website launch March 2015). The co-ord’s boucle material gives it a 60’s flair but it’s bright pink shade makes it a perfect Fashion Week outfit

If you are going to London Fashion Week with friends, have a cheeky word with them about what they are wearing. The last thing you would want is to turn up and you are both wearing the same outfit!
