As we just can’t wait til the ceremony tonight – patience is just not our virtue - we had a cheeky chat with celebrity makeup artist Aimee Adams; who has worked with the likes of Sienna Miller, Elle Macpherson and Rachel Weisz, on what makeup looks might be worn by our favourite actresses and more importantly how you can createa flawless makeup look worthy of the 2015 Oscars’ that she has specifically designed to withstand the increased colour, contrast and detail of 4KTV.

To recreate Rosamund Pike’s glowing, natural look, try Aimee’s winning mixture by applying a combination of AveneHydrating Serum for Dehydrated Sensitive Skin - £17 via Boots - and Clarins Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Foundation SPF10 30ml - £27 via Escentual - to your face with your fingers and blending out with a sponge for a soft finish.

Even though this look is very natural and simple, paying a close attention to ‘detail’ is very important to recreating this Oscars nominee’s look. Natural makeup is designed to enhance features on-screen, allowing your expressions and features to radiate through. When working with Sony 4k, Aimee always reaches for her Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Palette - £37 via Space NK - as she loves the soft, natural “no makeup” glow that this ultra-sheer, blendable palette deposits on the skin

Pop Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Two Cents - £15.50 via Benefit Cosmetics - all over your lid and then set it with a subtle gold shade from the Undressed Palette - £4 via Makeup Academy – for a soft, crease-free, red carpet look.

Now it is time for the lips. Aimee applauds the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfector in My Pink - £18 via Selfridges - as one of the best for a pale, pink lip because it doesn’t separate into the lines’ of your lips, making your lips look pursed and dry (as we can guarantee the 4k canera will pick that up).

‘No Cheating’ makeup will become even more important for stars on the 2015 red carpet so Aimee recommends that you should spend ‘more time on skin than anything else’. Apply thin layers of Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream - £26 via Bare Minerals (launches in April 2015) - with your fingers and then blend it into your skin with a foundation brush for a natural finish.

Pop a highlighting concealer like the Paese Cosmetics Clair Brightening Concealer - £8.85 via Cloud 10 Beauty – under your eyes and in places where you really need a little boost. Set your foundation and concealer with the Corn Silk Loose Face Powder - £8.16 via Boots - as it is the “only powder Aimee has ever used”. It is a true translucent loose face powder that will leaves a flawless, satin finish that can be used on every skintone and only costs £8!!

When it comes to the Julianne Moore’s Oscar worthy brows, look no further than Giorgio Armani Eye & Brow Maestro - via Selfridges - a new multi-use eye product that can be used as an eyebrow pencil or eyeshadow layered with the P..S. Love Eyebrow Pencil - £1 via Primark. The P.S Love Pencil is one of the best eyebrow pencils I have ever used’ Aimee gushes, ‘I believe in the school of thought of ‘What Works!!’ so I’m not afraid to pair budget products with luxury products to get what I want.

Can you imagine how dry lips would look on a Bravia 4K Ultra HD TV? That would be 8 million pixels of big, flaky nastiness shown in four times the detail of full HD!! Do yourself a favour and prep your lips with Laura Geller Beauty Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub - £13 via Feel Unique.

Grab Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain and Balm in Gothic - £2.49 via Direct Cosmetics - to act as a base and stain your lips. Carefully outline the corners of your lips with Rimmel 1000 Kisses Red Dynamite Lip Liner - £2.99 via Superdrug - then apply Ultra Glow Magic Lips - £5.99 via Ultra Glow Shop - over the top for a red carpet ‘dash of colour’ that lasts just as long as you do.

The ‘Theory of Everything’ is nominated for Best Picture at this year’s Oscars and was filmed using Sony’s new 4K technology, which currently gives the sharpest, clearest picture you can get beyond ‘high definition’ so we thought it would be fun to ask how to recreate Felicity Jones sultry, smokey eye.

First prep your eyes with a cream eyeshadow as a base and then set the base with a powder eyeshadow. This leaves you with two formulations layered on top of each other, which in turn helps your makeup last longer and look more defined when battling flashing camera lights.

Aimee Adams knows that a 4k camera will pick up a messy brow so faking a full, neat brow is an essential detail that you should aim to recreate. If you can’t wait to grow out your eyebrows but want defined ‘Cara Delevingne-esque’ brows then grab an Eye & Brow Palette - £25 via HD Brows - or an Eyebrow Pencil - £13.50 via QVC UK - but don’t go overboard and over-apply your brows as this will look over-the-top and won’t flatter you.

To finish off this sultry look, just pop on a silky, matte lipstick like Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in Beige Mousseline 101 - £25 via House of Fraser - and you are good to go.
