The 60’s is having a huge comeback this autumn winter from swinging shift dresses in pastel colours to cute mini skirts in monochrome shades, to match the trend I’ve recreated a signature 60’s beehive but given it a slightly modern twist, its super easy to do and only takes a few simple steps perfect for party season.

Step 1: Choose your parting. From sweeping side fringes to a full on blunt ones, this look works well with any style. Give it a good comb through, for particularly difficult frizzy ones like mine wet them down first and spray with heat protecter like this TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray for £3,32 and give it a good blow dry using a small round brush to help smooth out the frizz.

Step 2: The fun part where you get to unleash your primitive inner cavewomen, grab yourself a comb Im using a Denman tail comb £2.09 and section off parts of your hair. Brush backwards at the roots to crete volume you want to focus the majority of the volume to your crown and the back of your head

Step 3: Gather up your army of lost bobby pins from the ones hiding in the crevasses of your bag and the random few loitering in your bathroom cabinet as your going to need all you can find. Start by pulling all of your hair towards the back, twist it, pull it back so its vertically against your head and then roll it, tucking itself underneath as you do it. Add as many bobby pins as you can to secure it in place.

Step 4: Now lets give this baby some height! Take the tail end of your comb and gradually start pull at sections to give it a bit of a lift, I wanted most of the height to be at the crown. I then used the comb end and smoothed down the sides of my hair.

Step 5: Once your all happy with the overall shape its time to make sure it wont move! I gave my hair a good coating of Schwarzkopf Got2b 2Sexy Hairspray £3.77 to ensure it wont fall flat.

Step 6: A glamorous and timeless hair style like this demands a pair of earrings worthy of Audrey Hepburns approval, add a pair of over sized statement earrings for a bit of christmas sparkle.
